چکیده
Abstract Tanzania, like other developing countries, experiences frequent water supply project failures during its operations leading to subsequent loss in revenues annually which is mainly attributable pumping system failure. While a lot of investment spent on establishing new projects, little attention paid the functioning these systems, abandonment most projects due pump failures. The purpose study was assess operational situation pumps and develop an appropriate application for early faults detection foster prompt remedial actions. A site visit online survey with questionnaires were performed collect information problems 13 regions Tanzania. revealed that 82% face excessive power consumption, 53% fail broken seals, 41% encounter no or low flow, 35% have pressure 24% produce noise vibration. Pump Diagnosis Tool (PDP) developed provide rapid insight into condition state required measures address problem. PDT has potential detect diagnose timely manner avoid total failure potentially major driver behind work breakdowns.
